History of graffiti scene in Split

Everything started in mid 80's, when Floka and Zoka were hitting the walls in Split. At the beginning of 90's Yugoslavia fall apart, and Croatia (which was one of the republics in exYu) was in war till 1995. The main consequence of that situation was isolation of outer world till late 90's. The result of that was slow growth of graffiti scene in Split, cos there were no shops for buying colors. Today you can find Montana cans in Split, but at price of almost 6€ per can, or Happy Color (Italian brand) for 3€. At that time new names came to the scene such as: Resk, Dest, Tony, Shaze, Baba, Aztek and me, and first crews was founded (TSA, STP).
In 1996. the scene meets probably the best and the most famous crew from Split:TSK run by Sack, Cros (originally End) and Zero (Terra). In 1998. came first croatian female writers Bome and Roz who wrote under TSG, and also Duo (from Trogir). That's the same year that big international graffiti jam was held in Split with international line-up such as Daim, Loomit, Neck, Vince, Odem, SeemSoo, Moritz. After that a lot of young writers just popped up, and Split was very famous for its bombing style with names like: Pilot, Cros, Alex, Rok, Sab, Kwar, Ganer, brothers Rots and Neno (RIP)... unfortunately everything little bit died after 2002., but some young writers are still holding graffiti scene alive: Kwon, Odie and Wens (also Trol, Irob, Apas). Somewhere around that period ElMagico came to town (from S. Brod), graffiti and tattoo artist. Orden (from Sibenik) is also active. In 2008. after 10 years the new graffiti jam was organized and thing went little bit up, which result in big international festival of urban culture "xSTatic" with international line-up: Sub, Craola, CesOne, Atom, Can2, Smash, Kent, Wow, Loomit, Darco, Besok, Jazi, Mistery, Belin, Rabodiga and best croatian writers.
Nowdays, there are lots of young writers, who will, hopefully, bring graffiti scene in Split where it's belongs.

Also big up for Bare and Pero Nizozemac (i can't remember their tags), and to those who i forgot.
